We’ve added SSL certificates to all servers

Posted by Norman under: Guides; announcements .

I’m happy to announce that we recently completed installation of 128 bit SSL certificates on all our servers, including those containing Shared hosting accounts and Reseller hosting accounts.

We used RapidSSL from GeoTrust SSL certificates for each server, so we no longer have to self-sign the certificate (which often resulted in an error message showing up in your browser).

With the addition of SSL certificates, our servers will be verified and listed as trusted when opening secure connections. You will now be able to connect with a known-identity server when you:

  • Manage your hosting account through cPanel/WHM

  • Use secure FTP

  • Securely download your email (secure POP3)

  • Securely send your email (secure SMTP)

  • Securely send/receive (through secure IMAP)

Don’t hesitate to ask with any questions. You can also see this knowledge base article for instructions on using secure FTP, or this knowledge base article for instructions on instructions for sending/receiving email over SSL.
